Berlin-based four-piece, Rikas, have just dropped their new 12-track, sophomore album, Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet. The album takes listeners on a journey, inspired by the band's experiences while traveling and touring the world. With their life often spent on the road, performing at venues across different cities, this album reflects the motion and energy of constant movement. Written in Berlin, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam alongside Benny Sings, the 11-track album captures the essence of their travels. The sound is serene and introspective, perfectly embodying the feelings of being on the road and reflecting on the transient nature of life.

Guitarist and keyboardist Sascha Scherer shares, “I think a lot of bands have trouble staying still. When you stop touring and moving to a new city each day, you feel lost. I feel like our new album is capturing that feeling of go, go, go.”

The album includes tracks such as “Bike in L.A.,” which narrates their time spent in Los Angeles and their disbelief at how you can’t get anywhere without a car. Bassist Sam Luca Baisch explains, “We rented a car, and it was such a different world to the one we were used to in Europe. We did everything with that car. It was like such a contrast to the city life we have here in Berlin, where I can walk everywhere.” Sascha adds: “It means that finding our path, shaping our art and growing our relationships takes patience. Because you have to find out how your vehicle works and therefore where it belongs.”

“Bike in L.A.” is a sunshiney, feel-good track featuring jangly guitars, soothing harmonies and playful lyrics, delivering a laid-back, comforting feel. Rikas delivers a sound that is both earthy and sincere, creating an unforgettable listening experience. With its memorable themes, irresistible hooks, and unique album name, Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet is sure to leave a lasting impression.

3.01.25 Barcelona, Heliogabal

3.05.25 Amsterdam, Cinetol

3.26.25 Paris, Le Hazard Ludique

3.28.25 London, The Grace
