Dutch alternative-electronic artist Heijmat has announced the new EP Echoes of Solace, led by the immersive single "Horizon". Blending ambient, techno, and downtempo, Heijmat explores a more cinematic, emotive sound in this release.
Collaborating with LudoWic, Heijmat crafts a rich, atmospheric piece. "Horizon" combines lush analog synths, delicate piano, and intricate arpeggiators, building from a haunting melody into layered, textures before reaching an uplifting climax. It concludes with an intimate blend of the Trautonium, synth, and piano. The artwork, designed by Heijmat’s wife, features a polaroid by their daughter and a painting by his father-in-law, adding a personal touch.
The project of multi-platinum mixing engineer Huub Reijnders, Heijmat continues pushing electronic music’s boundaries, with the new EP Echoes of Solace promising to be a deeply evocative journey, with "Horizon" setting the tone for this captivating new chapter.
