With their unique blend of psychedelic rock and jazz experimentation, Norwegian band fucales have crafted an album that is both introspective and exhilarating.

Airhead is a testament to Fucales' maturation as songwriters and musicians. The album is a kaleidoscope of sounds, textures, and emotions, with each track offering a glimpse into the band's inner world. From the introspective longing of "Come June" to the searching resolve of "A Sign," the album takes listeners on a journey through a range of human experiences.

“The record represents a maturation process in terms of songwriting,” says Simon, reflecting on the band’s evolution. “The compositions, arrangements, and lyrics are more playful than before. I think all the songs represent the inner lives of the band members captured in music.” – Simon, fucales

The band's experimental spirit is on full display throughout the album. Tracks like "Ibsen/Strapping in the Collar on My Neck" showcase their willingness to take risks and embrace the unexpected. The result is a collection of songs that are both unpredictable and captivating. Fucales draw inspiration from a wide range of influences, but they always manage to maintain their own unique sound.

"Airhead" is an album that demands attention, with it's cacaphonies of powerful guitars and screeching moments of distortion. It's an immersive experience that requires active attention. The band's willingness to experiment with different sounds and styles will undoubtedly appeal to fans of bands like Squid, Pond, and PigsPigsPigs. However, Fucales' music is more than just a pastiche of their influences. They have managed to create something that is truly their own.

With "Airhead," Fucales has solidified their position as one of the most exciting bands in the experimental music scene.
