Captivating musical project Mola Oddity continue to make a mark with their distinct artistry as they unveil dynamic visuals for enchanting production “Half A Sadday Saving Time.”
Offering a potent sonic tapestry the track weaves alluring pop stylings with luscious jazz-tinged pianos alongside sticky guitars and synths to make for a groovy anthem that gets you dancing along.
A collaboration between French director Laurent Nathan Grey and Japanese visual artist Baku Hashimoto (橋本麦), the visuals make for a vivid experience that compliments the hypnotic sonics.
Speaking of the video , the act says, “In all of Mola Oddity’s creations, we blended a variety of inspirations, we throw everything at the wall—mixing musical and visual influences in the most unexpected ways. For the Sadday MV, the character design aims to evoke a fantastical, satirical warrior akin to Don Quixote. We’ve got flowers that haven't quite bloomed, turning into ugly, rebellious pimples on the face—representing all those life’s little annoyances that, just when you think they can't get worse, explode into something unexpectedly beautiful.”
A creative project centred around individuals Birdy K, Yider and Asr, Mola Oddity are free flowing and experimental act that transforms the absurdities and oddities of the world into tales of wonder within their smooth blend go jazz and African flavours.
Weaving an introspective yet gleeful world of alt-pop, the band set their sights high as they move into 2025 with an exciting creative charge.
