The Beatles are back?
On January 16, 2025, indie-rock quartet Greer released "Had Enough," their first track since the 2021 EP Happy People. Known for their infectious energy and devoted fanbase, Greer has consistently delivered catchy melodies and rhythmic tunes that keep smiles glowing and heads nodding. "Had Enough" continues that tradition but with a deeper, edgier twist.
Months before the release of "Had Enough," the band teased new material with the intimate, acoustic-driven track "audio_77." Featuring lead vocalist Josiah perched on a bed surrounded by an eclectic mix of lamps, the video left fans eager for what was to come. Josiah, who has built a notable social media presence, has also made appearances on the "Emergency Intercom" podcast by content creators Enya Umanzor and Drew Phillips, further connecting with fans in a personal way.
With "Had Enough," Greer unveils a new layer of their sound. The track captures a raw intensity that hasn’t fully been present in their previous work, showcasing a grungy atmosphere that’s amplified by the reverb-laden guitar work of Corbin Jacques, the pounding rhythms of Lucas Ovalle on drums, and the steady, grounding bass of Seth Thomson. The song’s looping rhythm and textured instrumentation make it a track you’ll want to replay again and again.
As 2025 unfolds, it’s clear that this will be a defining year for Greer.
