Moka Blast’s ‘Homicide Freestyle’ hits like a survivor’s anthem

Following a two-year pandemic break full of intense struggles, both personal and political, Moka Blast returns with the hard-hitting new track, “Homicide Freestyle.” This is a stance of survival, a sanctioned exercise in the trauma he has survived.

From the start, Moka’s vocal delivery captures the intensity of his journey. “Homicide Freestyle” dives deep into the nuances of his experience, describing an uphill legal battle, near-constant media scrutiny, and then silence, leaving him one way to get his truth out: through music. Every verse is a raw, cathartic release, a strand of feeling that’s braided tightly with the work of a control freak lyricist. The production heightens this emotionality with a throbbing beat that propels Moka’s authoritative delivery forward.

This release is an artistic renaissance. Beyond maintaining his place in the industry, Moka has opened FGC Recording Studios in Las Vegas to further the development of the creative wheelhouse. This project is also about his capacity as a teacher and advocate for new talent in the music industry.

In “Homicide Freestyle,” Moka Blast makes his case for longevity in the industry bluntly, and you can’t take your eyes off it. This single underlines his fortitude and showcases his ability to channel adversity into meaningful art. With an international tour in the works and the possibility of writing partners on the horizon, Moka's story is consistent and surviving takes the cake despite the odds.

The Moka Blast is back, and you know he's a big win for the music game.
