Rising singer-songwriter Bella Gate has released the live version of her heartfelt single "Drink With Me," enhancing the raw vulnerability of the original release for an intimate exploration of self-reflection and connection.
At 23, the London-based artist has already made her mark, having started songwriting at nine and recording at sixteen. During a year in Barcelona, she performed extensively. She recorded her debut album at Sol de Sants and RoomTo studios, collaborating remotely with UK producer Jordan Round, which Geoff Pesche later mastered at Abbey Road Studios.
Gate describes the song as reflecting youthful vulnerability and the strength found in connection: "The chorus, on one level, is about underage drinking and falling in love. On another level, it’s about being together, with or without a drink, and finding community in a partnership, friendship, or family/chosen family”.
With jazz-infused chromatic progressions and a tender string quartet arrangement by Grammy-winner Alberto Pérez and Juanjo Fernandez, the live version carries a raw emotional weight. Gate continues to cement her status as a rising star, with ‘Drink With Me (Live)’ marking a powerful chapter in her journey.
