Climbing to higher heights, emerging artist DrippDaDon presents his new EP, Dorm Room Vibes, a genre-blending EP that spans continents and cultures. Born Mugisha Barack Donatien in Zambia and raised in the U.S., the 20-year-old rapper, songwriter, and producer bends his tri-lingual, multicultural artistry into five moments that span 15 minutes.

As the title suggests, Dorm Room Vibes has an intimate but bouncy energy, mixing late-night sessions' early, raw creativity with a more polished, world-spanning sound. Spanning the Afrobeats-driven "For A While" and the electrifying Afro-Hip-Hop glory that is "JUJU," the EP demonstrates DrippDaDon’s knack for fusing his African roots into American musical vernacular but also his musical genius to blend the two.

The Columbus-based artist’s versatility is on display, extending a path that started with his breakout 2020 EP, Sides of Me. Accompanied by influential producers such as Grammy-nominated Giscard Xavier and Mel “Chaos” Lewis and recently amassing over 687,880 streams, DrippDaDon has showcased his ability to create sound that travels beyond genres and audiences.

Over tracks that speak to listeners worldwide, DrippDaDon infuses his immigrant story and sounds from Zambia. This EP embodies the melding of Afro and American sound, an uptick in cultural appropriation trend visible within the genres.

With past features alongside Diamond Platnumz and sync placements on MTV and BET, DrippDaDon is a pioneer and star on the rise. With Dorm Room Vibes, he confirms himself as a force in the global music space, paving the way for his coming EP, Me, Personally.
