Rising Fife songstress NATI. gives us the third glimpse into her upcoming EP Golden, with haunting offering “Midnight,” drawing us into a bewitching world laden with her confessional folk roots.

Led by her velvet vocals that sway delicately upon gentle piano notes and tender acoustic guitars, the track which was born from a soul-bearing session with female songwriting duo INK, the track brims with a comforting sense of feminine solidarity, with touches of healing peeking through on each luscious note.

Speaking of the track, she says, “It's about being in a shitty situation, knowing you'll get out of it and finally doing so and seeing the tomorrow after midnight. It's also about my relationship with death and loss and my experiences with it.”

Tapping into the numbness of loss, the track is framed by equal parts of intimacy and relatability as it comes alive within an intricate yet vibrant sonic tapestry.

Swerving away from the electric swagger of her recent work, this latest offering lays the foundation for the warm and reflective tones Golden, beckoning us to settle into thoughtful and healing narratives of finding peace and embracing oneself.
