Who wouldn't want to ring in the New Year at a music-centered block party? San Francisco’s iconic Fresh Start Festival is gearing up for another electrifying New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day celebration, set to take over The Midway on December 31st and January 1st. With phase one of the lineup already generating buzz, the festival has now unveiled its highly anticipated phase two lineup, promising a funky weekend featuring some of the biggest names in dance music.

Dance music lovers, prepare to feel like a kid in a candy shop at Fresh Start. Also, you'll definitely be getting your steps in from all the grooving you'll be doing, so charge those Apple watches.

Fresh Start recently announced the likes of DJ Pee. Wee – AKA Anderson .Paak –who is set to deliver an unforgettable set filled with R&B throwbacks, disco, funk, and soul classics. Charlotte De Witte, who was named Best Techno at the DJ Awards in 2019, is headlining the countdown to 2025. Until then, it's all about building the hype – and you definitely don't want to miss the sunset set by Cloonee. If you're ready to head towards the house music, Matroda and Odd Mob will be gracing The Midway. Noizu, who sold out the SVN West last time he was in the city, will be there – so get to that stage early! Wuki, The Blessed Madonna, and Essel include other not-to-miss sets.

New Year’s Day doesn’t miss a beat either, with Chris Lake delivering a sunset journey of house hits, like his original release, "Turn Off the Lights," which has over 100 million streams on Spotify. Other day-two highlights include sets from Austin Millz, Justin Jay, and J. Worra, with Dombresky donning his groovy Disco Dom alias for a vintage-inspired set.

Taking over The Midway’s indoor stages and outdoor main stage, Fresh is notorious for transforming the corner of Michigan and Marin Streets into a hub of music and palpable energy. With its carefully curated lineup, hundreds of artists, and all of the food trucks you can imagine, it remains a go-to event for Bay Area music lovers. Plus, this year’s festival will introduce the 888 Garage stage, located just across the street from The Midway. This 1,000-capacity warehouse venue has quickly become one of San Francisco’s most talked-about spaces, and artists Azzecca, Annicka, Nardi, and Rush Hour are set to break it in for Fresh Start.

We promised food trucks! And food trucks there will be. Fresh Start offers tons of immersive art installations, food trucks, and a culinary menu curated by The Midway's Executive Chef. Known for its creative surprises, past years of Fresh Start have included drag brunches, sunrise yoga, live marching bands, and even a pop-up arcade. You'll have to head to the block party yourself and check out what surprises await you this year!
