After teasing fans with their traditional freestyle series, the iconic UK duo Krept & Konan unveiled the official single "Smooth Lovin" from their forthcoming album Young Kingz II. The afrobeat/Caribbean-infused track is produced by their longtime collaborator P2J and features Jamaican dancehall superstar Popcaan. Created in Jamaica during a month spent recording while reconnecting with their cultural roots, the duo brings that scorching summer heat ahead of 2025. From the playful rhymes, and smooth charming machismo, audiences have a lot to look forward to as this jam is a solid addition to the house party playlist. Popcaan's appearance will not go unnoticed as he peppers the chorus with his characteristic laidback melodic flow and helps conclude the track with a powerful third verse.
The official music video directed by Harry Guest is an exquisite, private affair that puts the boys in an undisclosed location surrounded by models.
The release of Smooth Lovin follows two recent teaser freestyles, which have built excitement for the upcoming album, Young Kingz II. Honouring their tradition of solo freestyles, Krept teamed up with Chip for Daily Duppy: New Snap City, while Konan delivered Last Night In Kingston, a powerful sequel to his legendary 2016 freestyle, Last Night In LA.
To mark the release of Young Kingz II, Krept & Konan will host an intimate live show at Outernet London on March 6, 2025. The album is set for release via their independent label, Play Dirty on the 7 th February 2025
