Collaborative duo genre-bending producer Stephan Jacobs and Senegalese-American powerhouse vocalist Marieme come together under the moniker of Bigger Than Us to unveil debut EP, The Beginning.
Tapping into a sense of euphoria that traverses the lines of electronic and organic, the project weaves Marieme’s lyrics and soul-stirring voice into Jacobs’ deep and intricate sonics to invite us into a world of introspection upon themes of love and balance.
A transportive collection that tells the story of humanity while keeping it in the present moment, moments of compassion, understanding and a celebration of individuality guide us toward self-discovery and connection with others.
Speaking of the project, that say, “This project didn’t come from us, we just channelled the universe's call for balance. Every time we were in the studio it was like entering a flow state where we were not bound by anything. This collaboration is truly bigger than us, it made us feel again and activated us and we’re honoured to be able to share it with everyone, it’s our dose of Love. ‘The Beginning’ EP is just the first offering. Pushing boundaries in the 3D space, using avatars in their visuals to showcase inner spatial journeys, the experimental act explores ego and humanity, and the path to realising our highest selves as they break down barriers of genre and musical innovation with seamless flourish.
