Crys Matthews shares important single "Cancel Culture" detailing societies wrongs

Folk meets country singer-songwriter Crys Matthews has just unveiled her third single "Cancel Culture" off of her forthcoming highly anticipated album Reclamation. The artist is known as a troubadour of truth and one who proudly stands up for justice and social equality.

With "Cancel Culture", Crys Matthews pens a song with a dual meaning. The track tells of the autobiographical narrative of people telling Crys that she is brave to talk about certain themes in her music, when they themselves would be worried about being cancelled. Crys understands how important it is to stand up for what is right even in the face of adversity. The track also goes into detail with so many things that are terrible in society these days including school shootings, banning books, whitewashing American history, and gratuitous corporate profits. She sings, "There is a whole lot in our culture / We should cancel right away." Musically, "Cancel Culture" shines with layered acoustic guitars, country rhythms and warmhearted vocals. Crys has a knack for blending folk-country with powerful lyrics that resonate on both personal and political levels. The intricate guitar work and lush arrangements create a rich soundscape that complements her evocative storytelling.

"Cancel Culture" is one of the most important and anticipated songs on the upcoming album. Fans old and new will find something to connect with, making this song a must-listen for anyone who appreciates genuine artistry. Take a listen now and stand up for what you believe in life.
