International rap artist and award-winning Ghanaian music icon M.anifest's newest release, "Puff Puff," is a feel-good anthem for the crazy times we live in. The multi-genre tune produced by Budo takes elements from jazz, afrobeat, and hip-hop with a touch of highlife. It features the talents of Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and the groundbreaking Nigerian highlife fusion band The Cavemen.
Parts of the song were recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, with the Cavemen and finished in L.A with Flea who garnishes the track with a sublime trumpet solo. The result is a powerful song that serves as a melting pot and collision of three diverse musical worlds. M.anifest reflects on the never-ending hustle and challenges one must face and the resilience to push through. At the same time, The Cavemen cement the notion with their hypnotic melodic hook, reminding us to persevere, no matter the obstacle.
