Powerhouse singer-songwriter and activist Bossi has returned with another mesmerizing and important musical offering. Entitled "Good Bones", the single is off of her forthcoming new album Tell All the Other Girls, a stunning 13 song journey detailing many of the restrictive narratives and stereotypes imposed on women throughout history.
With "Good Bones", Bossi pens a song all about how society often views women and how many place value on a woman based on her marital status, motherhood or being a "good housewife". The song tells the story of a lost woman who tries to find worth and happiness by trying to fit these stereotypes only to realize how unhappy and unfulfilled she is. Even so, circumstances can be difficult to change or transform and with her new single Bossi shares this poignant but relatable narrative. Lyrics showing this include, "That picket fence is made out of paper / All the windows face out onto a wall / Every room is filled to the brim with a picture of a happier time
That you just can’t seem to recall / But I know good bones lie underneath it all." Sonically, "Good Bones" features a steady guitar riff, captivating vocal hooks and grungy bass. The chorus is anthemic, upbeat and dynamic with Bossi showcasing her enthralling songwriting ability. The track was produced by Justin Glasco (Paris Paloma, Imagine Dragons, The Lone Bellow) and the duo made sure to keep the track upbeat to showcase the underlying theme of hope that the woman will soon self actualize.
Bossi is a Los Angeles based transformative songwriter who is also a cancer survivor and humanitarian. She uses her art and music for good and is committed to making a positive social impact. She co-wrote and performed an important song for World Mental Health Day and has performed at Near Future Summit, Deepak Chopra’s Never Alone Summit alongside other acts including Jewel and Ozomatli. Her upcoming album Tell All the Other Girls promises to be a must hear musical collection. Listen to your first taste now with "Good Bones" and enjoy the ride.
