UK-based record-breaking rap duo Krept & Konan are preparing to release their album Young Kingz II, but in the interim, they share with fans the Konan solo cut "Last Night In Kingston." The release keeps to their tradition of releasing solo songs and it's a follow-up to Krept's recent Daily Duppy 'New Snap City' featuring Chip. "Last Night In Kingston" also serves as the sequel to Konan's 2016 legendary freestyle "Last Night In LA." Following his trademark formula, the track draws inspiration from Konan's recent visit to Kingston, Jamaica, and is produced by long-time collaborator AdotSkitz who laces him with a brooding and menacing backdrop. Here, Konan proceeds to lay down the bare facts, reflecting on his status as a young OG and the hurdles he had to face throughout the years.
The accompanied visual was filmed between Kingston Jamaica and Thornton Heath, South London, and uses several performance shots capturing the splendour and grit of these two distinct locations.
Set for release via their independent label, Play Dirty on the 7th of February 2025, Young Kingz II marks Krept & Konan's first album since top-5 charting Revenge Is Sweet, a project which cemented their place in music history as UK rap royalty and saw them become the first British rap act to headline the O2 London.
