Six-piece collective Seafarers is back with their captivating new album, Another State. Known for blending indie rock, chamber pop, and jazz, the band continues to evolve since their formation in 2018.
The album features ten tracks, including the lead single, "Televangelists," which opens with a haunting piano melody. This contemplative piece showcases the band’s dedication to intricate musical storytelling, building emotional depth as it progresses. Following their debut, Orlando, which explored themes of freedom and solitude, and their sophomore album, II, which examined the bittersweetness of adolescence, Another State delves deeper into introspection.
Each member's chemistry shines throughout the album, with renowned saxophonist Matthew Herd crafting refined compositions, while acclaimed vocalist Lauren Kinsella delivers an evocative lead. Arun Thavasothy and Tom McCredie provide stellar guitar and bass work, complemented by pianist Tom Taylor’s intimate touch and Dave Hamblett’s on drums.
Seafarers are set for even greater recognition with the release of 'Another State', as they round off a carefully curated, impressive campaign.
