Thadeus Labuszewski – publicly known as Disco Lines – has quickly risen to mass popularity in the electronic music world with his house-centric original releases and remixes. You may be familiar with his song, "Baby Girl," which has gained upwards of 180 million streams on Spotify.

We had the pleasure of catching his set from start to finish at III Points Music Festival in Miami this past weekend – and he certainly did not disappoint. With a packed crowd, funky visuals, and a tequila bottle nearby, Disco Lines delivered a high-energy performance that kept the audience on their feet.

Opening his set with a remix of Weekend by Mac Miller and featuring Miguel, he immediately captivated the energetic Miami crowd. He had us wrapped around his finger with techno-infused mixes and house beats – and definitely took us by surprise when he threw a little bass into the mix.

Ahead of his performance at III Points, EARMILK got to learn a bit more about Disco Lines.

Miami has a rich electronic music history. How does performing at a festival, like III Points, feel compared to other cities? What are you most excited about?

It feels sexier in Miami. The goal is to get groovy!

One of the things we love about you is how much fun you're always having, and you definitely showcase your humor on social media! How do you feel social media has impacted the music business?

People tend to say that the impact of social media is a recent thing, but it has been influencing me and my music taste for as long as I can remember. I look at artists like Mac Miller who were making waves on MySpace when I was first discovering music. We’re in a digital age where Artists have direct access to fans, and fans have direct access to artists. It opens lines of communication and feedback that were never there before but can really help develop an artist and their fan base.

What's it been like balancing the management of your record label, Good Good Records, along with your current tour and festival run?

To be completely honest, I've been focusing most of my attention on touring recently, leveling up the production and quality of my shows.

I do have a few releases coming that I’m excited about on Good Good Records, and then next year a lot more of my focus will be on the label. It's been a challenge, but super rewarding seeing that I can put out music on my own and have it resonate with people.

Do you have any funny show or festival stories that particularly stand out to you?

Those stories are better left untold…

Imagine you’re planning your own music festival—what three artists or bands are headlining with you?

Getter, Andrea Bocelli, and Dead & Co. Variety is the spice of life.

If someone was making a cocktail inspired by you, what would be in it and what would it be called?

Tequila straight out of the bottle. Call it Techno + Tequila.
