After 3 years he shows us exactly why he is spoken about with such high regard in the Christian Hip Hop community as a top-tier lyricist.

Though glorifying Jesus in Christian hip-hop is the objective, there are many ways you can continue to show you are a creative artist for the lord. Andy Mineo displays this every time. “Red Room Freestyle” comes in with an abstract funky feel that fits the feel of his lyrics perfectly. Witty lines, some being even comedic in a sense, display that after such a long hiatus he still can really cut through the production effortlessly. The track is full, with various sounds that you hear throughout the production, with vocals playing in the background adding presence and vocals added for humor. The track is exciting, throughout “Red Room Freestyle” he pays homage to a few classic hip-hop records which is beautiful to see him appreciate hip-hop from all various styles.

The record truly does represent the personality he presents when delivering his lyrics, and flow. The flow is there as well, while listening you cannot tell that it's been three years. His delivery is extremely polished and the lyrics follow the same energy. With shifts in the flow while giving Jesus the rightful place in the lyrics in a creative way. This was executed well, sounds amazing, and delivered well as well. Not only is the music excellent, but the video’s cinematography is superb as well. The visuals are full of bright colors and beautiful shots of Andy eating huge cookies to add multiple layers of personality and humor.

When you think of a music video you would want the song and the video to mesh flawlessly and this absolutely does that. Everything works in harmony, which is what artistic expression is about. From the visuals to the music, it speaks of true artistic expression and capability. Andy has always been known to stay true to that while sticking to his faith in Jesus. If this is the rollout to his upcoming project, I can say we should all be excited to see what's in store!
