Cornwall, UK-based producer/songwriter/poet Webmoms releases his new single "Slow Burn," which also serves as his first solo record to feature just his voice. The self-produced track has elements of soul, jazz, and a touch of LoFI aesthetics, and overall exudes a feeling of nostalgia. Here, Webmoms manages to pack in several poignant topics ranging from the current state of affairs of the youth in the UK and the dynamics of traversing this modern age where nothing is given.
With half a decade experience as a producer behind him, Webmoms is as seasoned as they come and as a rapper, he can also hold his own. Armed with his laidback, almost whispered flow and lines like "Can't eat unless you open your mouth/The money feeds, it's only money, for now,/So choose to chase nostalgia/Leave behind the seedlings of doubt, allow myself to keep my head in the clouds," he paints lucid imagery of escapism in this unforgiving landscape he has to live in.
"Slow Burn" is lifted from Webmoms forthcoming EP For Us By Us which will be released later this year.
