New York’s rising talent Camryn Quinlan, has released her debut single "Hourglass," giving fans a first taste of her upcoming EP, If We’re Being Honest. With a strong social media following and performances across the city, Quinlan is quickly making her mark.
Produced by Baldvin Hlynsson, "Hourglass" showcases Quinlan’s heartfelt, introspective songwriting. The track opens with soft piano and ethereal backing vocals, gradually building layers of acoustic guitar, strings, synth, and driving drums, all supporting Quinlan’s delicate, emotive voice. The song reflects on the fleeting nature of young love, inspired by her own experience with a long-distance relationship. “There felt like an expiration date, or an hourglass that was slowly running out a clock,” she explains.
