Multifaceted musician and singer-songwriter Montazona has just unleashed his latest single. Called "New Waves", the track follows his 2023 sophomore album Butterfly.
With "New Waves", Montazona creates a song influenced by his move to the hustle and bustle that is Los Angeles, California. Everything seems to move fast in the city and with "New Waves", the artist explores his shock and overwhelment with this new fast paced life. Lyrics including, "You can't take a deep breath / New waves rolling into wash away / Do we have to change everything," show these feelings of dealing with the restlessness and constant changes. Musically, "New Waves" is a genre-defying explosion complete with groove induced guitar riffs, funk-fueled bass and psychedelic soundscapes. The song blends intricate synth layers with the artist's signature dreamy vocals, for a must listen to single. The production is cinematic and immersive, creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and futuristic.
Montazona started playing music as a toddler, learning guitar and piano. He soon went to an acclaimed music school in Boston and moved to LA to pursue his dream even further. Influenced by the likes of Tame Impala, Jungle, Mac DeMarco and The Black Keys, to name a few, he creates his own unique and expansive listening experience.
