Emerging rapper/songwriter Khern$ brings a new meaning to the word rachet in his latest project The Rachet EP. The 4-track EP is a conceptual track that follows the rapper through an adventurous night as he meets some interesting ladies.

The project opens up with “Clap,” an upbeat club banger that starts with Khern$ linking up with a lady friend for a night out. Over the bouncy soundscape, the rapper quickly establishes his mission parameter by playing his game right with the lady in question. He plays the role of the playboy and chaperon who caters to her friends while setting up his goals for the end of the night. The stage is set in "Homegirl" featuring Bandito. The track samples a classic pop song and flips it into a rowdy club banger with thick 808-driven grooves and dark textures.

Here, Khern$ and Bandito share with us their R-18 encounter with some ladies and their group of friends who are willing to entertain them. The duo leave nothing to the imagination as they dive into their polygamous fantasies with vidi and unfiltered lyrics that would make your grandma clutch her pearls. This is followed by the sparse "Cheeks" featuring Wake Daze, which sees the duo fixating on a pair of ladies with large backsides. The track has a playful and cheeky vibe and serves as the result of Khern$’s previous actions as he gets closer to his ultimate goal. The final track, "2AM in the Valley" is the culmination of all his efforts through the night. He takes us through his final activities as the night comes to a close, from meeting up with his homies after the club to smoke some herb. He continues into the dawn with extra partying and more nefarious activities.

Overall The Rachet EP is cohesive and sticks to the plot closely. The production is strictly upbeat club-ready bangers with street surrealism and over-the-top ratchet vibes. Lastly, the tracklist spells out as follows, Clap Homegirl Cheeks (at) 2AM in the Valley.
