London-based conceptual pop artist Ebony Buckle offers a powerful ode to finding an inner sanctum within existence on “I Think I Just Saved My Own Life,” a trip-hop-tinged anthem that taps into her genre-defying signature.

Delivering a smooth blend of ethereal pop and whimsical folk orchestrations, the track weaves gripping vocals through pulsing beats to craft an otherworldly soundscape elevated by poetic lyricism.

Written about Ebony quitting drinking five years ago, the track is gentle yet vulnerable as it unfolds with a personal touch. Speaking of the track, Buckle says, ““I used to drink a lot and I think it was a way to quiet the critical voices in my brain. When I stopped 5 years ago, I felt so much relief that I was free of this thing that had been in the way of everything I wanted to do with my life. I felt like I had saved myself from a very different future.”

Offering a glimpse of her adventurous and expansive forthcoming album, Buckle continues to hold a mirror to the world as she reflects the raw realities of human want and struggle to fit in within her luscious yet introspective craft, establishing herself as a creative force to be reckoned with.
