Long Beach, California-based, New York emcee Ill Knob continues to rep his stomping grounds as he drops the new single "Tell em where you from" which sees him paying homage to his city. The production embodies the classic 90s NY sound with dark brooding strings, dusty drums, and tempered basslines. Here, Ill Knob reminds us how he weaves through the dangerous cityscapes and his status as a veteran emcee. Joining him on the track is another underground veteran Champ MC a.k.a Champ Diva (of Deadly Venoms fame) who adds her 2 cents on the track.
The visuals were produced and directed by Storm for @PurfekFilms and it's a mix of performance shots of both rappers with fast-paced cut scenes and dim lighting that accentuates the gritty streets of New York.
