Derek Simpson delivers final single “Bonez & All” and unveils new project ‘Somehow’

Los Angeles, California-based artist Derek Simpson unveils his third album Somehow, alongside the final single "Bonez & All." This comes after a series of weekly single releases with visualizers. The hard-working singer once again shows why he is one to watch as he delivers an edgy, off-kilter, genre-bending body of work that blends a host of avant-garde sounds with familiar elements and engaging songwriting.

From the 90s contemporary pop-styled "222," to the reflective "copilot," to the playful "boytoy," Simpson shows different sides to his artistry and personality on each record. Furthermore, he taps into the pop-folk arena on the lead track "Saturn," followed by the cloudiness of finding new love on the guitar-laden "Gliterrr" and brings in long-time collaborator Daniel August on the final track “Bonez & All” which brings the project full circle as he revisits themes of the album throughout the song. Other notable tracks include the brooding “RC30s” with its deep melancholic vibe, the fuzzy guitar licks, and dynamic pads on “In Ur Reach" which culminates in a hypnotic duet with guest vocalist Sage Uasole.
