Tokyo-hailing rising dreamy alt rock four-piece DYGL shares upbeat jangle pop/post punk track “Crawl,” an escapist anthem that dives into frustrations of mundanity and ambitions to free yourself.
Brimming with nostalgia, the track is led by bright but hazy vocals carried by jangly, intricate guitars, twinkling baselines and groovy beats, the melodic track is tinged with a vintage yet youthful quality.
Swaying with feelings and movement, the luscious production leaves us spellbound and yearning for more. Speaking of the track, they say, “We feel like making music that makes people dance more, which people can feel by their body more than their ears. We celebrate the sounds of instruments as well as vocals, more than ever. After the COVID situation settled, we started to get back the opportunity to experience live music in our daily lives, and it heavily inspired our creativity these days.”
Giving us an enticing glimpse of their upcoming EP Cut the Collar, DYGL is carving out a space for themselves in the industry with their vibrant artistry.
