London-based artist Alfreda returns with her latest single, "Frankie," a track that seamlessly blends old Hollywood glamour with contemporary soundscapes. Completing the narrative arc of her Mother’s Makeup EP, "Frankie" starts with raw, emotional melodies reminiscent of John Lennon, before evolving into a vibrant 70s disco anthem.
Described by Alfreda as a tale of lust, obsession, and mistaken identity, the track is rooted in a personal experience. After a brief encounter with someone she barely knew, who later got her name wrong, she crafted the persona of 'Frankie'—a carefree, desirable woman who embodies what she believes men want. "Frankie is easy. Frankie is a good time girl. Frankie messes around and doesn’t get hurt," she explains.
Beyond her music, Alfreda also hosts a cabaret-inspired residency, "Bedroom Tales," at London's House of KOKO. To promote her debut EP, she is embarking on a unique “Bedroom Tour,” performing in private bedrooms across England, further establishing her as a captivating new voice in contemporary music.
