Australian born and bred and now Los Angeles based artist ILUKA is a pop riser. Her new single is entitled "Cry Evil!" and it is the first of the year following the 2023 release of "Haunted One".

With "Cry Evil!", the singer-songwriter writes an important anthem all about the current attacks against women and our fundamental rights. She proclaims, "There is such a concerted attack on women's rights, over the right to be autonomous over our own bodies and incel / far right religious communities are feeling more galvanized to spread hate online." Lyrics including "Eve took a bite of the fruit from the tree / Brought death to the world with a sin so deep / So they lit those fires and they burned us down / What men will do, when they fear our power," show the attack against women and how it has been throughout history. Musically, "Cry Evil!" is a striking blend of raw emotional pop and hard-hitting roots rock that grabs your attention from the first note. Her voice, a mix of smoky depth and dynamic power, delivers lyrics with a visceral authenticity that’s hard to ignore. The song's hook is memorable and her delivery is fiery and fierce.

If you're looking for music that resonates on a deep level and refuses to be pigeonholed, ILUKA is definitely an artist to keep on your radar. "Cry Evil!" is an important and anthemic song that needs to be heard. Check out the new music now and share this exciting song.
