John Beckmann and the Mortal Prophets have released a new single, "New Breed," as a preview of their upcoming album The Confessions of a Sword Swallower. The single delivers a unique blend of Post Punk, Indie, and Black Metal, featuring a high-octane tempo of 176 bpm. Mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Joe LaPorta, the song brings a fresh and powerful soundscape.
The music video accompanying the single is a visually stunning production, depicting a futuristic UFO landing in ancient Maya ruins, perfectly complementing the avant-garde nature of the track.
In addition to this project, Beckmann has been working on various other ventures, including an alternative indie EP with David Sisko and a Dream Pop EP with William Declan Rubey. His dedication and innovative approach are evident in "New Breed," as the track defies traditional genre boundaries, offering a glimpse of the bold soundscape that awaits on the full album.
