Five-piece invigorating post-hardcore collective Trace Remains have just shared their latest single. Called "Sold My Soul", the track is the first of the year from this innovative band. The song is off of their highly anticipated upcoming album Leverage the Tides.
"Sold My Soul" shares the theme of trade offs in life and how decision making can sometimes have consequences. Mistakes can happen and although we must recognize them and do better, "Sold My Soul" also touches upon the fact that they should not always define us. Lyrics including, "Crawl back innocent / Bruised not broken / Hear this now / Heal it all with sound / Now," show this narrative. Musically, the track is hard-hitting and anthemic, filled with gritty guitar riffs, grunge infused basslines and clashing rock rhythms. Soaring and climatic vocals that are unapologetic and confident are also a standout in this mesmerizing musical envelopment.
Trace Remains formed in 2017 and the band soon began making waves with their own spirituous mix of alt rock, post-punk, and hardcore.
