Lava La Rue is STARFACE and demonstrates the importance of committing to the bit.

London-based musician, designer, and director Lava La Rue has been a growing creative force of nature, evolving their art form since their early days of releasing bedroom indie tracks and DJ'ing in Tokyo. La Rue first caught the attention of critics and fans alike with their EP Letra, touching pools of neo-soul, PR&B, and Indie Rock.

Since then, their sound has only evolved beyond the lines of genres, weaving together a bright and sonic world within their own domain. Their debut album STARFACE has finally landed via Dirty Hit and brings the world La Rue has crafted to a larger stage.

EARMILK caught up with the artist to discuss the means of creation, the serendipitous events of getting a ride home in a fuel shortage, and shouting out Courtney Love.
