UK psychedelic street punk and desert rock trio Bones Ate Arfa have released their powerful latest single, "Akimbo People," ahead of their debut EP set to drop on August 1st. Led by frontman Arfa, who has collaborated with artists like Isaac Holman (Soft Play) and Kate Nash, the band has quickly garnered attention for their gritty sound and unforgettable live performances.

The EP title track "Akimbo People," epitomises the band's energetic and raw style, featuring thunderous riffs, melodic vocals, and a uniquely vibrant energy. Built on a foundation of fuzzy bass riffs and driving drums, the track incorporates pitch-shifted guitar lines that evoke the sounds of Queens Of The Stone Age and Royal Blood, with Arfa's versatile vocals adding depth and a compelling edge to the alt-rock tapestry they’ve woven.

Discussing the new track, the band explains:

“Akimbo People is about losing the closest person to you and having to distance yourself from them in order to grow. We recorded all the instruments at home, which we feel adds a raw, garage-band vibe to the track. The EP as a whole explores the unpredictable nature of relationships, with the title track perfectly embodying our sound and the themes of the project."

Having earned recognition from the likes of Royal Blood and Tigercub, their growing acclaim also includes early support from BBC Radio 6 Music and Radio X, setting the stage for an extensive UK tour and a wild year to come.
