Lithuanian-Canadian artist Aistis presents Clay, an 11-song alternative folk album that emerged during the finalisation of his upcoming release, Caviar For Seagulls. This collection offers a deeply personal exploration of the cyclical nature of complicated relationships.

Clay blends reality with fiction, portraying a character ensnared in romantic intricacies. Aistis experiments with irregular pacing and innovative song structures, capturing the essence of letting go of a lover only to be drawn back. "Navigating a confusing and beautiful relationship became the starting point for Clay," Aistis explains. "Blending reality with intentional fiction, the album explores love, hypocrisy, self-reflection, and beauty."

Tracks like "Thought It Over (And I Think You Should Move On)" capture the agony of relinquishment, while "Lilac Perfume" offers a fragrant return to pleasure. "The Mouse In The Kitchen" closes with a hushed lullaby, and the title track, "Clay," ends with a poignant piano ballad, emphasising love's malleable nature.

Living in Montreal, Aistis is known for his lyrical depth and evocative soundscapes, inspired by storytellers like Leonard Cohen. Clay disrupts conventional narratives, offering an honest exploration of love and self.
