LA rapper Trizz and longtime collaborator producer MIKE SUMMERS are working on their sophomore collaborative album, but in the meantime, they share the new single "Baseline," featuring T.F. The track is a callback to 90s West Coast hip-hop and its funk origins. SUMMERS uses the legendary Bass riff from the 80s group Zapp as the foundation of the track and blends it with the infamous G Funk flute-synths and dark brooding textures à la the East Coast production crew Bomb Squad. The layered production is amped up by Trizz and T.F., who deliver hard-hitting bars with no filter.
"Baseline" is the second single from Trizz and MIKE SUMMERS's forthcoming album. Their first single "Alpine" was released at the end of May, check it out here
