Budapest-based trio daniel aron and siblings Babapiros and HALOSARA unveil their first collaborative offering “Heaven Sent,” a lush and soulful anthem that showcases the “pseudo-gospel” signature they’ve been honing.
Opening with tender guitars and HALOSARA's honeyed vocals, the track builds into expansive baselines sultry beats, warming horns and brass sections, with the intricate instrumentation weaving passionate yet gentle gospel sensibility.
Speaking of the track, Babapiros shared, “The song basically started from the riff you hear in the chorus played by the guitar and the brass section. Funny story, I came up with that thing years back as a live outro sort of thing for O’SULLIVAN’s ‘Dig Gold’ that never actually made the album recording. But it always felt like we could build a song around that. I like the idea that we shared a similar christian upbringing with Sára (HALOSARA) and Dani (Daniel Aron). Even though ‘Heaven Sent’ is not a worship song in the traditional sense, it does feel like one to me.”
With plenty of new music and gigs on the horizon, the newly-formed trio are set to draw us into a sonically versatile and intimate world as their first offering gives us a promising taste of what is to come.
