Modern pop impresario Scoobert Doobert recently put out his newest album I, a 13-track project that's inspired by land travel and the myriad of thoughts that come with it, according to Doobert.
The project's lead single "omw" centers on the anticipation of meeting that special someone after a long time. Doobert takes audiences on an emotional roller coaster with heartfelt songwriting underpinned by vivid lyrics like "To be coming back home to you/I could travel all the world/Looking for something to do/But nothing is as good as/Nothing like being on my way."
The production has a warm and nostalgic pad arrangement with rich guitar plucks that soar in the bridge section alongside Doobert's laid- back vocal runs. The accompanying visual is an AI-generated animation that follows the adventure of a dog on his way to meet his favourite cat.
Doobert adds that the I album was written in the span of eight months while traversing the Grand Tetons, then to the Sierra Nevada mountains and up the face of Mount Whitney. His experiences were put on wax in this album which talks about self-doubt, hope, loss, self-discovery, and contentment.
