Lou Lou is the project of Elektra and Miranda Kilbey, twin sisters who have been matching each others creative ends in the indie electronic field since 2012, garnering praise from the likes of Fader, i -D, and Rolling Stone.
The two's blend of synth pop with effervescent harmonies is catchy, without the synthetic nature of mainstream routines. Their organic, minimal sound lead to multiple fashion collaborations to keep the name fresh in the public eye.
"Above Love" sees the two return with the same electric energy, providing rich production and anthemic vocal performances, creating the perfect atmosphere to light up in a lounge. The groove makes for a sonic listen and comes off the heels of their 2024 ep Dust, Pt. 1, demonstrating that only more good is on the way.
