WhoMadeWho teams up with Blue Hawaii on synth-drenched single “Kiss Me Hard”

Danish electronic outfit WhoMadeWho recently joined forces with Canadian duo Blue Hawaii for “Kiss Me Hard,” a nostalgic, synth-drenched ode to romance and spontaneity. The stunning track marks the third glimpse into their upcoming ninth studio album: Kiss & Forget, slated for release on September 13th.

“Kiss Me Hard” blossoms through the speakers, fusing Blue Hawaii’s penchant for indie dance grooves with WhoMadeWho’s bold electronic textures. Woven through the track are voicemail samples echoing the heartfelt sentiment of “I wanna go anywhere with you,” doubling as an intimate invitation to embrace adventure and live solely in the thrilling rapture of the moment. As the melody builds, it mirrors the blooming excitement of a night that refuses to surrender to the inevitable dawn.

The seamless collaborative process behind “Kiss Me Hard” is a perfect example of the potential of creativity transcending borders. What began as a working demo titled “Caribbean Blade” conceived during WhoMadeWho’s Dominican Republic tour stint eventually found its way into the sonic realms of Blue Hawaii’s Ra and Agor. Inspired by the groove, Ra penned compelling lyrics that transformed the instrumental cut into a narrative of yearning for liberation and the fearlessness to chase one’s desires.

On their part, the Danish trio shares, “The making of 'Kiss Me Hard' was one of the most inspiring creative processes we have been a part of… I believe everything from [Blue Hawaii’s] side was written and recorded in that one inspired night at the studio in a moment of universal inspiration.”

As WhoMadeWho gears up for the release of their upcoming studio album 'Kiss & Forget', “Kiss Me Hard” serves as yet another enthralling preview of the kaleidoscopic sonic escapades that await. The track also reaffirms Blue Hawaii’s status as one of Canada’s most exciting electronic projects, their emotive songcraft blending beautifully with WhoMadeWho’s ever-evolving production to echo an introspective journey of self-discovery.
