Mucky Pup have returned with the infectious new single "Entry Is Free."
The project features acclaimed producer and multi-instrumentalist Erik Miles, known for his work with Soft Play, Baby Dave (Isaac Holman), Kate Nash, Lady Bird, and Hotwax. Joining him is vocalist Heidi Haswell, who has contributed to numerous records, including collaborations with Soft Play and Baby Dave. Together, they create a unique electronic sound reminiscent of Girls Of The Internet, with a hint of Maribou State.
"Entry Is Free" blends elements of funk and house with pop undertones and vibrant brass. The soundscape features synths, tight beats, and funky basslines, complemented by Haswell's soulful lead vocals. Creative and packed with catchy hooks, the new track really showcases the duo's individual talents. Mucky Pup explained that they wanted to create a dimensional experience for the listener, describing a mystical dreamscape, experimenting with saxophone and synthesizer samples to match the eerie vision, resulting in an energetic track with bubbling undertones.
