Leeds-based alt-pop duo Lucky Iris return with their vibrant new single, "Something to Believe In," the title track from their upcoming EP, released via Launchpad+ and EMI North. Comprising co-creators and producers Maeve and Jasper, Lucky Iris has been celebrated for their bittersweet lyrics and captivating electronic soundscapes. Their latest release blends soft melodic vocals with hyper-pop-inspired synths, creating an infectious and danceable track.
Lead vocalist Maeve explains the inspiration behind the song: "When I’m going through a rough time, I turn to music and football. Both give me something to believe in. This track is our ode to the things we pour our hearts into when we need support. For me, it’s football and pop music, so why not combine them?"
The single, co-produced with Ben Matravers, is mixed by Richard Wilkinson (Adele, Amy Winehouse) and mastered by Antony Ryan (Oh Wonder, Hannah Diamond). It features a sparkling backdrop of analogue synths and tight beats, perfectly complementing Maeve’s expressive vocals.
With the duo's continued success and promise of more new music, Lucky Iris remains a standout act in the alt-pop scene.
