Belfast indie artist Lauren Ann opens up Pandora's box with her latest single “BITE.” The raucous second track from her upcoming EP, the song focuses on wrath, following the EP’s theme with each song tackling one of the seven deadly sins. The Irish artist shares, “In a way I’ve created a character or alter ego who experiences all of the sins in some way. Some of the songs are also about the different types of people I have met in my own life. I feel like everyone has encountered negative feelings of greed, wrath, pride etc. at some point in their life.”
The grungey '90s doused “BITE” is reminiscent of Deftones and The Smashing Pumpkins, with Lauren Ann channeling the fiery fury that is reflected in wrath. Through relentless garage rock guitars, tumultuous percussion and soaring vocals, “BITE” emits a raw intensity that totally encompasses you.
One sin at a time, Lauren Ann is delivering very real and relatable music, and with the upcoming EP, we can only imagine what is next up her sleeve.
