NYC born and bred artist and creator Jiwon has just shared his latest shimmery release. Entitled "so in love wth u", the track follows his single "sidelines" shared this last January.
With "so in love wth u", Jiwon wrote a track celebrating that special nostalgic love song, specifically from the 80s with its heavy synth pop sound. The song thematically explores the ever present push and pull that often accompanies love affairs. He sings, "I’m so in love with you / But I don’t think I’m right for you / Tell the truth," telling the object of his desire how into them he is but how he is not sure it is the right fit. The vivacious single lulls the listener in with Jiwon's vocals where he sings in both falsetto and deep toned. A kaleidoscope of vibrant synths, soulful basslines and sugary guitars complete the irresistible musical offering.
Jiwon grew up in NYC surrounded by old records of musical heroes including The Smiths, The Clash, and Elvis Costello among others. Classically trained, the young artist threw himself into songwriting finding it a cathartic release to the perils of overthinking. His music is a genre-defying exploration of sound, equally experimental as it is infectious and familiar sounding. With more music coming, we can't wait to hear what is next from this riser.
