NYC-based artist Logan Avidan offers up powerful bedroom pop slow jam “Carried Away,” giving us yet another taste of her upcoming debut solo album, Hot And Bothered.
Diving into the melancholic feeling that can carry us away from the present, the track swirls around existential themes with simple yet poignant turns of phrases. Euphoric yet vulnerable, the track shines with an explosive mixture of joy and introspection as she channels a 00s pop energy throughout each note.
Described as a song “for the feels,” Avidan says, “Living in NYC and being around so many people all the time can be really exciting and fun, but just like anyone, I can sometimes get carried away. Carried away with the party, the long nights but mostly with myself. My thoughts and emotions can take me to different places even if in reality I’m in the Uber with my friends going out.”
The track is accompanied by vivid visuals that compliments the messaging unfolding a night out with friends cutting between what’s going on around her and what’s within her mind in impactful fashion.
