Worms Ali is the true definition of the new-age DIY, indie rapper who records, mixes, and markets his art all by his lonesome. His bio reads "I sell CDs out the trunk of my car" which got us thinking if he was kidding but far from it, the man explains that he does engage in hand-to-hand sales to fulfil his monthly bills and use the profit to fund his future project. It's remarkable but we just have to take his word for it and in the meantime, he shares with us some songs from his catalogue.
The first song "Sup" is produced by Illinformed and it's a jazz-infused boom-bap track with moody piano riffs and bass-heavy drum grooves that hark back to the 90s. Here, Worms Ali pours out his thoughts on wax, giving us a snapshot of his life as an artist trying to get his feet off the ground and having to deal with life as it revolves.

The second track "That's How It Is" is a collaboration with The Lab Catz and continues the jazz-themed sounds that permeate his discography. The production has a reflective and solemn vibe while Worm's laidback and nonchalant flow takes precedence as he drops rhymes like "I'm just lucky, I know how to keep it funky/Showing up in every country/Blowing up like a monkey bite/Slam dunking, pull my weight like a damn donkey" that displays his sharp wit and off-kilter humour. The song comes with a performance-styled video that focuses on Worms just doing what he loves best.
