Minnesota raised and Tulsa based singer, songwriter and musician Casii Stephan has just shared her latest soulful gem. Called "Can't Handle Me", the song marks a sonic departure for the multifaceted artist tapping into a more retro soul meets jazz funk sound.
With "Can't Handle Me", Casii Stephan creates a song all about the lows of being single. One instance is when someone intoxicated obnoxiously hits on you and the annoyances of over talkers and wannabes. Lyrics including, "Remember when I said no / but you put your arms around me / but now you're going home / with only your mom to keep you company / I just keep walking my own way," show that she won't put up with ridiculous men and she is happy on her own. Musically, "Can't Handle Me" shines with Casii's signature confident vocals gliding over blazing horns and funky keys. Upbeat and invigorating rock meets soul landscapes and jazzy basslines add to the seductive revival sound.
