Wyn & the White Light collaborates with Josh Knowles for "Statue"

Wyn & the White Light is a New England based trio who share important and healing music. Their new single "Statue" is in collaboration with musician, singer and songwriter Josh Knowles. The song follows their single releases "Can the World Change" and "How the West Was Won" shared in 2023.

With "Statue" front woman Wyn and Josh Knowles write a song detailing Wyn's own struggle with experiencing a stroke. She lost her ability to move or speak but was awake in her mind and that mind and body separation affected her in numerous ways. The result was a cathartic and important track that helped in her own healing. Lyrics including, "Can’t spit it out, what I'm trying to say / Slipping into a plane where no one can wake you / Now you’re just another statue I wave to / In a wave of sirens rushing to safety," tell the story of medical calamity in harrowing detail. Musically "Statue", entices with ethereal dream-like vocals over emotive violin and rich piano chords. A pop ballad with elements of classical music intertwined, "Statue" is a unique and fresh musical offering.

Wyn & the White is the musical project of Wyn, Lucia Jean and Heidi Tierney, all New Englanders who have united to create transformative music in the wake of their own medical traumas. The trio's songs inspire others to keep going in spite of debilitating illness. "Statue" is off of their highly anticipated album set to be released on the spring equinox, March 19th. Take a listen to the new song now and get lost in the gorgeous musical space.
