Batavia-hailing rising rap star Niiko shares intense yet enjoyable drill music production “Figures,” which dives into learning hard lessons but coming out the other end with a deep sense of wisdom.

Led by his melodic style and sharp lyrics, the track is powerful yet vulnerable as it taps into and reflects his own lows while also uplifting others. Speaking of the creation of the track, he says, “One day, I was hanging out with one of my good friends, and we turned on an instrumental to freestyle. After I’d finished freestyling, my friend immediately told me I needed to write something and get in a studio.”

With a stunning ability to combine themes of hopelessness with hopefulness, sadness, and darkness with intense bursts of motivation, NiiKo is a promising talent who found catharsis and comfort in music after an injury ended his path in sports, now crafting sonic worlds that provide the same feelings to other people.
