East London-based genre-bending artist Kweku Bandit is back with a special brand of Afrobeats-infused hip-hop music that showcases his Ghanaian roots to the fullest. After making waves with his first mixtape which was released under a previous moniker, Kweku stepped back to rebrand himself into an authentic artist, whose core focus is to deliver the truth in his art form. His newest release "Nowhere" is a mid-tempo afro-infused drill track that explores his struggling days when the naysayers and fairweather friends deserted him, fortunately with a will of steel, he made it out and now he is basking in the glory of his wins. The track has a sombre violin arrangement and solemn pad layered over smooth drill drums underpinned by Kweku's smooth melodic runs and aspirational lyrics that remind us to always follow through with the plan and ignore the detractors.
The accompanying visual is a blend of performance shots that captures Kweku's playful demeanour as he embodies the spirit of the go-getter who made his way through the impossible.
