Nashville-based singer-songwriter Savanna Leigh first caught our ears and eyes when she shared a two-pack release for the songs "i miss you (i still do) acoustic" and "hanging on a dream (acoustic)", sometime last year. Now the singer returns with a new set of visuals for her single "like i used to". The mellow heartfelt track sees Savanna reflecting on the concept of youthful exuberance, naivety and hope while juxtaposing this version of herself with her current state where being an adult brings a whole set of internal issues to deal with. Armed with her enthralling melodic runs and expressive vocal range, Savanna delivers a heartfelt and relatable track that touches the soul.
The visual style is quite moody and sombre but the use of subtle motifs and set pieces helps bring it to life. The visuals also splices itself with homemade videos of the singer in her younger days with performance shots of a present-day Savanna.
